Versatile charm

The stingray’s dorsal skin is made up of calcium and has bony protrusions that are larger in the center of the skin and smaller on the outer edges.

During the tanning process, this bone is sanded down and formed into small round marks that people call eyes, or pearls, or diamonds (Because each stingray skin has only one eye, this skin will cost more than the rest).
